SHARE NETWORK USA / WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
SHARE Network USA partners workforce Career Centers, faith-based organizations, community organizations, and other government agencies to better serve Americans in need.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recognizes the importance of engaging with the community to serve Americans in need. Since the Faith-Based and Community Initiative began in 2001 and through 2006 the DOL has invested over $44 million in pilot grants to develop strategies that enable Career Centers to partner with faith-based and community organizations to better serve Americans in need.
Two pilot grants in 2002 produced important innovations enabling the One-Stop Career Center system to draw more effectively upon the unique strengths of the community. These innovations were combined in 2005 when the Center for Faith-Based & Community Initiatives of the DOL launched the Sharing How Access to Resources Empowers (SHARE) Network.
This success of SHARE Network led to SHARE Network USA an initiative to extend and sustain SHARE Network.
